Hau'oli La Hanau

Nothing on my computer works. It acts like it has one of those skin eating diseases. I wrote an email at 2 am and went to bed, all was working fine then. I woke up around 8 am to find it frozen on the Weather Site at the time of 6:32. And since there I can't type anything on line unless I have maybe an hour to wait for 3 letters at a time to load. I'll just have to type this in word and copy and paste it because I don't have time to look around today to try to fix it.

Today is my daughter's BIRTHDAY! Oh my goodness!
Anyhow, the usual thing is for her to ask one of her girlfriends to go to the movies or go shopping - or both - and then get ice cream. But after she got home from her weekend at the acting workshop she told me how nice it was to make all those new friends, many of them from the other high school on this island. She asked me last night if instead of going out if she could just have her birthday dinner and cake at home and invite Keala, one of her new friends to come. She said Keala was really talented and real nice and polite and they could play music together.

I thought, how nice she justs wants a simple birthday this year. So, I said I thought it was ok, but to check with Dad because he was really tired with all the work he was doing for the Diocese for their school self study.

So, when Dad got home she asked if Keala could come over for dinner and cake for her birthday. I thought my husband's reaction was odd. He said, "let me think about it". And I said to him,
what's wrong, its easier than a frantic day worrying about what she is doing at the mall, and Keala is one of her new friends, I think it sounds nice she is making new friends. He then asked if I had met Keala and I said I hadn't. He said he had. I said well, what kind of kid is Keala? and he said A great kid....He's Jojo's SON.

Ah....I forgot the main rule in Hawaiian names. They are gender non specific.

Last I heard that was ok'd and is happening, so I don't have time to try to wait for this thing to find a song.

They say its your birthday
Happy Birthday To You!

My plan was to call, about now...but I've got a dance class that I've got to run too. (I'm always late) I'm going to call tomorrow, what time is she home from school and such?

Tell her I love her, I've got a lovely present heading her way (I had to order it and it's not here yet) and that I miss her and love her and all that mushy gushy stuff.

Good luck with the boy, although, if she met him in KPAC...he could be mahu.

Just sayin... :D

(P.S: I'd be flattered that she wants to bring him home...I *never* wanted my parents to meet any guys that I associated with!)

Its ok you didn't call, she had several phone calls from the mainland and here and people stopped by too. She was very happy, and no he's not mahu. He likes her because she doesn't chase after him like all the other girls, she is aloof and that attracts him. That is also not his exact name but I didn't want to include it.

She hasn't read your email yet because I never had time to fix the computer and she came home late and he was with her so she was busy. We were quite happy she wanted to bring him home, he's a very nice boy, although a couple grades older, and a good 5" taller than her! Dad took him home (she rode along) at 9 pm, he said thank you for inviting him. It was a nice birthday, she was real pleased with it.

Oh, yeah, about calling on Wednesday, there is full cast rehearsal until 5 pm in town, so I would say 6 to 6:30 pm here would probably be good.
