(If you're wondering if I want you to) I Want You To

My daughter is home SICK again. She came home from Theatre yesterday, dragging in like a wet dog. She was sneezing, sniffling, with cramps, bloating and all that other stuff that are on TV, all rolled into one big I DON'T FEEL GOOD.

She ate a little bit of chicken and rice dinner and put on her pj's and went to bed by 8 pm. She slept until 10 am this morning, when she came in still looking out of sorts. I had made some green tea and she went and got some then came back with a puzzled look on her face. She said she had put her phone under her pillow last night and when she woke up it was on the floor. Also there was a message on there from the first person on her phone list with a big "?" She looked at her phone and here is the messages she apparently sent a parent of a friend at about 10 pm last night.

Daughter - r ur sheets clean
Aunty - Huh?
Daughter - Thatssss2 bad
Aunty - What the heck r u talkin about
Daughter - Put it away

So, after she read that this morning she came in and told me, she knows I have no idea how to use her phone, plus, I was asleep myself at that time. And she said to me Uh, mom, I think I sleep texted someone.....

Then she told me about all the weird dreams she had last night, or she thought she had. She wanted to check if we had said anything about going on vacation and I said we had not, so she said that must have been a dream, and did I ever get my dreams confused with what happened when I was awake. I told her that when I first woke up in the morning getting out of my dream. She said that she felt like she had that same dream before, and it also seemed real. I told her that sometimes that stuff happens when you are sick. But, I had to admit, I had never called (or texted) anyone in my sleep. She is still trying to sort it all out.

I asked her if she had a favorite song and this is the one she picked:

The moon was shinin’ on the lake that night.
The Slayer t-shirt fit the scene just right.
Through smeared mascara, I looked into your eyes and saw a light.
You told me stories about your chickadees
They didn’t like BB guns or stupid archery.
The jumbo lifeguard, he let them use the pool all day for free.

Then the conversation stopped and I looked down at my feet.
I was next to you and you were right there next to me.
Then I said, “Girl, if you’re wondering if I want you to, I want you to.
So make the move. Cause I ain’t got all night.”

The rest of the summer was the best we ever had.
We watched Titanic and it didn’t make us sad.
I took you to Best Buy, you took me home to meet your mom and dad.

Your mom cooked meatloaf even though I don’t eat meat.
I dug you so much I took some for the team.
Your dad was silent. His eyes were fixed to what was on TV.

Then the conversation stopped and I looked down at the ring.
Your folks were next to you and you were right there next to me.
Then I said, “Girl, if you’re wondering if I want you to, I want you to.
I swear it’s true. Without you, my heart is blue.
Ooohwhoa Girl, if you’re wondering if I want you to, I want you to.
So make a move. Cause I ain’t got all night.”

So much pain may come our way.
There may come a day when we have nothing left to say.

When the conversation stops and we’re facing our defeat.
I’ll be next to you and you’ll be right there next to me.
Then I’ll say, “Girl, if you’re wondering if I want you to, I want you to.
I swear it’s true. Without you my heart is blue.
Ooohwhoa Girl, if you’re wondering if I want you to, I want you to.
So make a move. Cause I ain’t got all night.”

I used to sleep text a lot. It was really weird and really funny at the same time. She might want to put her phone out of arms reach when she's sleeping. ;)

She said she usually puts it on the floor at night (to recharge it). She remembers it being under her pillow, but not really why, but thinks it was because she went to bed at 8 pm (which is prime texting hour!)
I'm pretty sure she was asleep within a half hour cause I walked by her room and could here her snoring. She really didn't feel good, had a little fever but she hates to take pills, so maybe she was delirious.

She is still not feeling good but has to go to KPAC - the're in full rehearsal now at the Conv Hall.

She just passed by and said
"Is THAT your comment, that's long! Tell her hi"

She's been sick too much, just got her report card, 2 A's, 1 B, 3 C's.
